Now this is strange, and only just started happening.

Seemingly, at random, my little netscreen sends an alert

[00001] 2003-11-11 09:43:28 system-critical-00436: ICMP packet too large
has been detected!, From 217.32.63.234 to 212.135.194.86, using protocol
1 (on zone V1-Untrust,interface untrust) occurred 1 times

and
[00001] 2003-11-10 22:57:09 system-critical-00436: ICMP packet too large
has been detected!, From 217.32.63.234 to 212.135.194.86, using protocol

Now I do see it from other places, but hey, they're not my ISP ... The
netscreen thinks the ICMP packet is >1k

I'm happily ignoring the message, but I'd love to know why it's
happening

That'll be the egress point from BTs network cloud for the DSL fat-pipe
connection that you're connected to. It's not kit we have control over
I'm afraid.

Regards,
Matt.
